Anpanman
Anpanman is the hero of illustrated children's books which appeared in 1969 under the pen of Takashi Yanase. He is a true vigilante and defender of just causes , not hesitating to give of himself to feed people in need. Because yes, it's time to clarify an important point: his chubby little face is indeed a round bun stuffed with anko (adzuki red bean paste ). Anpanman simply has an anpan as a head! Several of his fellow adventurers also have edible heads. Thus Shokupanman, Melonpanna, Currypanman have respectively a figure in sandwich bread, melon pan and curry bread.
In front of the dazzling success , his adventures are then declined in anime, animated films, video games and educational programs. The anime Sore ike! Anpanman has never left the air since the broadcast of its first episode in 1988! But this is not the only record held by the franchise. In 2009, the very many characters , 1,768 precisely, earned the anime entry into the Guinness Book of Records.
