The Namboku Line of the Sapporo Subway runs north-south through Sapporo Station, Susukino, Odori and Nakajima Park.
The Namboku Line (color coded green) was the first of Sapporo's three subway lines to be constructed. It was built in 1971 in time for the Winter Olympics in Sapporo of the following year. It is just over 14 kilometers in length. The Namboku Line (South-North Line) runs from Asabu Station in Kita-ku (northern ward) to Makomanai Station in Minami-ku.

The full list of stations on the line are: N01 Asabu, N02 Kita-Sanjuyo-Jo, N03 Kita-Nijūyo-Jo, N04 Kita-Juhachi-Jo, N05 Kita-Juni-Jo, N06 Sapporo, N07 Odori, N08 Susukino, N09 Nakajima-Koen, N10 Horohira-Bashi, N11 Nakanoshima, N12 Hiragishi, N13 Minami-Hiragishi, N14 Sumikawa, N15 Jieitai-Mae and N16 Makomanai. N stands for Namboku. There are shuttle bus connections from both Makomanai Station and Hiragishi Station to Sapporo Dome on match days at the stadium.
