Nishitetsu-Fukuoka Tenjin Station 西鉄福岡天神駅
Nishitetsu-Fukuoka Tenjin Station in Fukuoka is a terminus for Nishitetsu trains and buses as well as being a busy entertainment and shopping center.
Nishitetsu-Fukuoka Tenjin Station is the second major train station in Fukuoka after Hakata Station.
Nishitetsu Fukuoka Tenjin Station is operated by the private rail company Nishi-Nippon Railroad and located on the second floor of the Solaria Terminal Building, which is itself within a large Mitsukoshi Department Store.
As well as trains, Nishitetsu-Fukuoka Tenjin Station is also a major terminus for Nishitetsu buses and connects with the Tenjin Station on the Fukuoka subway.
Here all three lines of the subway network intersect: the Kuko Line (Airport Line), which runs between Meinohama Station and Fukuokakuko (Fukuoka Airport), the Hakozaki Line, which runs between Nakasu-kawabata and Kaizuka stations, and the Nanakuma Line, which operates between Hashimoto and Tenjin-minami stations.
Nishitetsu Rail Routes
Nishitetsu trains on the Nishitetsu Tenjin Omuta Line run to Omuta from Tenjin Station Nishitetsu via Futsukaichi Station for changes to the Dazaifu Line for Dazaifu. The quickest time to Dazaifu from Tenjin is about 23 minutes including the change at Futsukaichi Station.
The Omuta Line also interchanges with the Amagi Line at Nishitetsu Ogori, the Nishitetsu Amagi Line at Miyanojin Station and the JR Kagoshima Main Line at Omuta.
Tenjin Minami subway station is also a short distance south of Nishitetsu-Fukuoka Tenjin Station.
Around Tenjin Station
Tenjin is a major shopping and entertainment center in Fukuoka, noted for its many outdoor food stalls (yatai), which are a big tourist attraction.
Major department stores and malls in and around Tenjin Station include Mitsukoshi, Tenjin Core, the 14 story IMS Building, Mina Tenjin with branches of Uniqlo, Matsumoto Kiyoshi and Muji, Solaria Plaza with scores of fashion stores and two floors of restaurants on the 6th and 7th floors, Solaria Stage with a supermarket in the basement and more fashion houses, cosmetics and interior goods in its six floors, Tenjin Vivre and Fukuoka Parco.
Also close to Tenjin Station are branches of Bic Camera, Louis Vuitton, Cartier, Chanel, Hermes, Tiffany, Loft and Animate.
Kego Park and Kego Shrine are located to the east of Nishitetsu Fukuoka Tenjin Station.

Tenjin Station has four main exits: the North Exit, South Exit, Central Exit and Solaria Exit.
The station has coin lockers, a Tourist Information Center, an ATM corner, as well as an Internet corner.
