JR San'in Main Line
Fukuchiyama Station is on the San'in Main Line from Kyoto Station, Nijo Station and Sonobe. The San'in Main Line goes eventually on to Shimonoseki. From Fukuchiyama Station there are San'in Main Line trains to Kinosaki Onsen, Tottori, Yonago, Matsue, Izumo, Yunotsu, Kuromatsu, Gotsu, Masuda, Hagi and Shimonoseki.
Journey Times
Journey time from Kyoto to Fukuchiyama is around 70 minutes. There are also connections from Fukuchiyama to Osaka on the Fukuchiyama Line via Amagasaki, Itami, Takarazuka and Sanda. The Kitakinki Tango Railway operates the 30 km Miyafuku Line from Fukuchiyama to Miyazu via Oe. From Miyazu change to the Miyazu Line to reach the beauty spot of Amanohashidate.
Facilities
Fukuchiyama Tourist Information Office is just outside the main station entrance to your right. This has information and maps on the town and its attractions. The station has a Midori-no-madoguchi ticket office which is open from 4.30 am to 10 pm. There are coin lockers and car rental offices as well. There are both lifts and escalators to the platforms making the station barrier free. The main thing to see in Fukuchiyama is the fine Fukuchiyama Castle.
