Seven days itineraries

You can do a precise itinerary with the help of Hyperdia. 

1. Visits radiating Tokyo and Kyoto

This itinerary is for those who do not like to pack and unpack their suitcase. You can settle in Tokyo and in Kyoto and do most of their visits in a day. Japanese trains make it possible.

From Tokyo, you can reach Nikko, Kamakura, Hakone, Kawaguchiko and Nagano.

From Kyoto, you can reach Nara, Kanazawa, Amanohashidate, Okayama and Hiroshima.

2. Seven days around Kyoto

In this itinerary, you can do a circle around Kyoto: first stop in Koya san, than Nara. Have a glimpse of the Japanese Alps in Takayama, go north to  Kanazawa. South you can go Miyajima and stop in Okayama for its beautiful Japanese garden.

3. From Tokyo a week in the Japanese alps

This itinerary via Kawaguchiko, Matsumoto, Nagano, Kanazawa, Takayama and Nagoya is recommanded in summer when the cities are overwhelmed by the heat.

4. From Tokyo to Kyoto via the Japanese alps

You can also reach Kyoto from Tokyo via the Japanese Alps. Start with the itinerary 3 and in Nagoya, take the shinkansen to Kyoto. 

5. From Tokyo to Kyoto via three of the most beautiful sites in Japan

With a stop in Nagano, Matsumoto, Magome, Ise, Nara and Koya san, you will discover most of the beautiful sites in Japan.

6. From Tokyo to Tohoku Itinerary

This itinerary will bring in Nikko, Matsushima, Hiraizumi, Morioka, Aomori and Akita with either Shinkansen and local country trains.

7. From Kyoto to Fukuoka

You will go south with this itinerary : take the opportunity to cross the Inland sea at Okayama to see Takamatsu, home of one of the most beautiful Japanese gardens (Ritsurin),and reach Fukuoka via Hiroshima and Miyajima. Once in Kyushu, explore Beppu and Kumamoto.
