<i>Vengeance Is Mine</i> (1979) <br>

The filmmaker Shohei Imamura (1926-2006) loved to investigate. With cold distance, a lucid detachment worthy of a documentary, he examines the inconsistencies of a notorious criminal, the author of a crime that made the front page of newspapers in 1964, the year of the Olympics in Tokyo. Violence is brought to its height by the superb actor Ken Ogata (1937-2008).
