Shibuya Disney Store 渋谷のディズニーストア

In Japan, it is well known, we particularly appreciate what is cute and colorful. With the Disney Store in Shibuya, we might as well tell you that we are being served! The storefront alone is worth a detour. Imagine a building whose entrance would be an imposing castle, all-round and in pastel colors, a miniature version of the Tokyo Disneyland castle!

Go through the door in the shape of Mickey's head, and you find yourself in a circular room where a host of Disney items are offered to you. After 10 minutes, you thought you had taken the tour? Never mind, the store is made up of three levels accessible by a spiral staircase in the style of a dungeon. Watch out for the crowd going up and down in this small space.

Throughout your peregrination, you will come across many goodies, soft toys as well as the famous Tsum Tsum, these small cylindrical soft toys represent characters from the Disney universe and are intended to be stacked to form pyramids known as tsumiki. Their name comes from the Japanese verb tsumu which means to pile up, to make piles, or building blocks. Among these items, some are exclusives, not found outside of Japan.

The Disney store focuses on female customers

The directors of Disney Japan, have understood it well, they are above all representatives of the female sex who come to rave about the sound of the famous "kawaiiiii" (add the number of i necessary according to the level of the prettiness of the object aimed), in the Disney store in Tokyo. The focus is therefore on fairy tales and princesses of all kinds.
