A multi-genre museum
In Roppongi, next to the Mori Art Museum, the Tokyo National Art Center and the Suntory Museum of Art, located in the garden of Tokyo Midtown, a complex created on the site of the former Defense agency, 21_21 Design Sight calls out to aesthetes.
Founded in 2007 by several top Japanese designers including the architect Tadao Ando, the graphic designer Taku Sato, the designer Naoto Fukasawa and the fashion designer Issey Miyake, this unclassifiable museum organizes major exhibitions twice a year, often combining the works of several artists. Here, the space amplifies creation. The joy of creation is transmitted in this modern venue, which is completely anchored in the twenty-first century.
