Yamazaki Mazak Museum of Art Exhibits
The Yamazaki Mazak Museum of Art opened in 2010 and houses a collection by the museum's founder, Teruyuki Yamazaki, of largely French art from the 18th to 20th centuries: paintings, furniture and glassware.
The museum recreates the atmosphere of the art salons of the period in its exhibition rooms with stylish wall tapestries, chandeliers, hardwood floors and authentic furniture.
The art collection on the 5th floor of the building at The Yamazaki Mazak Museum of Art includes works by such celebrated artists as Pierre Bonnard, Francois Boucher, Ferdinand Delacroix, Amedeo Modigliani, Claude Monet, Camille Pissarro, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Alfred Sisley and Chaim Soutine.
The 4th floor has an extensive collection of evocative Art Nouveau furniture by various French crafts persons as well as glassware by Emile Galle, some exquisite stained glass pieces of decorative art by Louis Comfort Tiffany (1848-1933) and pieces by the Daum brothers, Auguste and Antonin.

Photography is allowed in various parts, though not all, of the museum and the Mazak Art plaza. The first floor of the complex includes a museum shop and a popular, stylish cafe.

From Nagoya Station take the Higashiyama Line of the Nagoya subway to Shinsakae-machi Station and then leave the station through Exit 1.
The museum is the white building in the Mazak Art Plaza, which also contains the free Mazak Machine Tool Gallery, which offers a hi-tech exhibition on the history of the Mazak company and its products including machines in action and the global company's products on display. These range from parts for cars to medical implants such as knee and hip replacements.
