La Patisserie des Rêves ラ・パティスリー・デ・レーヴ
Sweet Dreams
The talented French pastry chef Philippe Conticini, known in France for his delicious Paris-Brest pastries, has exported his know-how of flavors, and his talent for evoking childhood memories through familiar ingredients, by opening a boutique in Kyoto, in an attractive traditional wooden house (machiya).
The building has been redesigned by the architect and designer Ryu Kosaka. Located in the historic district of Higashiyama, in display cases or under large bell covers, this new, pristine white gourmet address displays the Kyoto-Brest, a Japanese variation of the classic Paris-Brest, an exquisite creation marrying an almond cream with red bean paste and fresh mango. Other more traditional sweet treats are also on offer: éclairs, Saint-Honoré, Mont Blanc, strawberry cream cake, mocha and black forest gâteau to name just a few...
