Each year, the Sagami Lake Resort Pleasure Forest located in Kanagawa prefecture hosts the Sagami Lake illuminations, a beautiful play of sounds and lights made up of 6 million LEDs!
Sagami Lake and its leisure center
Located in the city of Sagamihara an hour and a quarter from Tokyo , Lake Sagami is a 3 km² lake , developed since the 1960s for the greatest pleasure of visitors.
If its nautical base is famous throughout Kanto for having hosted the kayaking competitions of the 1964 Olympic Games , it is above all its leisure complex that attracts the Japanese today.
Restaurants , amusement park , cycle paths and onsen (Japanese hot springs), the ''forest of pleasures'' which borders the lake is a popular leisure base for adults and children alike .
With many events throughout the year , it is a very popular place in Kanagawa Prefecture. And especially in winter, when the Sagami Lake Resort Pleasure Forest puts on its clothes of lights for several months.

6 million LEDs!
With its 6 million LEDs , the Sagami Lake leisure center is the area with the most lights per m² in all of Kanto!
Flowerbeds , tunnels of garlands, and luminous constructions , the entire forest is redecorated each winter from November to April . An enchanting spectacle, which each year brings together several thousand tourists who come to admire the forest and its fountains in the shade of the lights which change colors to the rhythm of the music .
Also note that some attractions in the park are open until 9 p.m. for the occasion, including the Ferris wheel which allows you to appreciate the illuminations from above.
