Shinjuku: Along with the Shibuya district, this is Tokyo's nerve center. With a reputation for never sleeping, renting an apartment in this district is ideal for travelers who crave a lively nightlife! Shinjuku is also home to countless stores, restaurants, bars and entertainment venues, as well as popular attractions and parks such as the famous Shinjuku Gyoen. As a major station in Japan's rail network, you'll have absolutely no trouble getting around the capital and other parts of Japan quickly and easily.

Disadvantage: Shinjuku can be quite noisy at night. Avoid Kabukicho and prefer residential areas.

 

Shibuya: A trendy district, renowned for its iconic crossroads and vibrant atmosphere, this is an excellent choice for vacationers who want to be at the heart of Tokyo life. It's home to numerous stores, restaurants and attractions, including the famous Shibuya pedestrian mall. Yoyogi Park and the Meiji-Jingu Museum are also nearby, offering unmissable green spaces. Shibuya is also well served by public transport, notably the Yamanote line.

Disadvantage: These districts can be quite noisy. 

Ikebukuro: A dynamic neighborhood and cultural crossroads, Ikebukuro offers a wide range of entertainment activities, including an indoor amusement park, aquariums and museums. Known for shopping streets like Sunshine Street and Otome Road, brimming with trendy boutiques and original, themed cafés, its central location with a station on the Yamanote line makes it an ideal place to stay.

When traveling as a family, there are a number of important criteria to consider when researching where to sleep in Tokyo, such as neighborhood location, proximity to public transportation, pleasant neighborhood environment and peaceful nightlife. Based on these criteria, we recommend the following districts, whether you're looking to rent a hotel room, apartment or house:

Asakusa: This district is a must-see on your visit to Japan. Famous for its Senso-ji temple, you'll discover traditional Japan and its ancestral culture in the heart of Tokyo. Busy during the day, it's also a great place to get some fresh air on the banks of the Sumida River and follow the Sumida Walk River, a path linking Asakusa and the Tokyo SkyTree. You'll also find open-air shopping centers and tourist attractions. A quiet district at night, it's ideal for a family vacation.

Disadvantage: Although well located, it's not on Tokyo's Yamanote line (the loop line). It is, however, well served by public transport.

Tokyo Station District: Lively by day, this downtown area is known for being particularly peaceful at night. It's not the center of tourist attractions and fewer tourists flock here, but it's ideally located with direct access to the Yamanote line, which allows you to tour the capital very easily, serving the most popular districts. Tokyo Station is located near the Imperial Palace and not far from Tokyo Tower.

Odaiba: Located on a man-made island in Tokyo Bay, Odaiba is known for its family and child-friendly activities. Here you'll find shopping malls, theme parks such as Odaiba Palette Town, Oedo Onsen Monogatari (hot springs theme park) and LEGOLAND Discovery Center Tokyo. It's also home to Tokyo Disneyland.

Nakameguro: Located along the Meguro River south of Shibuya, Nakameguro offers a relaxed atmosphere with cafés, small shops and design boutiques. Enjoy peaceful strolls along the river and discover an artistic ambience. Nights here are peaceful and facilities easy to access.

Selon le logement que vous choisissez vous disposerez de différents styles, moderne, traditionnel japonais, spacieuse, lumineuse ou encore cozy. Cependant, nos locations disposent toutes d'une cuisine parfaitement aménagée pour y cuisiner, d'au moins d'une chambre de style occidental, avec deux lits simples, et d'une chambre traditionnelle japonaise, avec tatamis et futons (selon le nombre de voyageurs). La salle de bain est équipée d'une baignoire dans laquelle vous pourrez vous relaxer après une journée passée à explorer Tokyo. Nos logements sont également tous équipés d'une connexion wifi gratuite et de la climatisation. Selon votre choix de location, vous pouvez également avoir un espace extérieur (jardin à la japonaise ou terrasse) pour profiter du beau temps.

The rental price is for the entire accommodation per night.  For insurance reasons in Japan, we kindly ask you not to exceed the maximum number of occupants indicated on our data sheet. The rental price includes all facilities in the apartment, as well as the special service of the Travel Angel who will welcome you and guide you during your installation and throughout your stay in our homes. Laundry service is not included. This service costs 1,000 yen (about 8 euros) per person, which you can pay directly to your Travel Angel on arrival. You can also bring your own sheets, if you wish. All our houses are equipped with internet connection included in the price.

In Japan, airbnb rentals are highly regulated by law. They are subject to very strict regulations that all hosts must respect, such as obtaining authorization and certification, complying with an imposed number of days, and so on. It is therefore possible to rent out your apartment on airbnb, but travelers are advised to check the legality of the apartment they wish to rent. 

Our rentals are not under the airbnb regime, so you can stay in complete peace of mind. You'll also be looked after throughout your stay in our house or apartment by a Travel Angel who will guide you as you settle in, show you around the area and be on hand to deal with any queries or problems during your stay.
